The new Australian Prime Minister...

...made a very widely covered speech recently, expressing regret for some past transgressions. Some of us, far afield of Australia looked on with some cynicism, muttering darkly and wondering if he will ever apologize for this outrage.

Just checked out the link - I see what you mean. Dont think he'll apologise for that and for that I am truly sorry. What I can tell you is this (although you might want to check out the facts and get back to me) Didjeridoos are not part of the Southern Australian tradition. Also females shouldnt use them as they become barren.

Just thought I would follow that up for you

Um. Sorry. That would be another case of the time-honoured Australian tradition of "taking the piss"...

I had formulated exactly the same sentence in my head as Bec.

Not a word of a lie.

And MY GOD does that make me crack up. We are SO HILARIOUS.

I'm still waiting to hear expressions of contrition and remorse over Olivia Newton-John, too.

    Oh, Egad - A didgeridoo.
One of my dear friends, a Democrat of the Furthest Left Degree, a Lawyer, and a Politician (any of which might be a death blow in your book, but which make him just fine in mine) bought one of those things at the Boulder Creek Fair 15 years ago. We then all proceeded to attempt to play it. For years. Last time we saw them, we were all able to play on the inhale as well as the exhale. And horror of horrors, they were teaching their young daughter to play the thing as well.

We are nothing if not generous Joke.

Anthony LaPaglia was a proper gift. The rapidly depreciating Nicole Kidman, not so much.

But are there any expressions of regret and sorrow for us and the injustices suffered upon us? No!

    The hypocrites.

P.S. To be fair, the other guy never apologized either, so I'm not picking on anyone.
