Showin' and tellin'

For SL, who ordained BB's S&T:



This came with my red car. Also got a key case and a wallet. I was supposed to get a set of fitted, matching luggage with the car but, between 1984 (when the car was made) and 2004 (when I bought it) the luggage part diverged from the wallet/key case/briefcase part. I now haunt eBay, seemingly in vain.

Wow. I've never bought a car that came with anything more than an owner's manual and all its ordinary fluids.

Well, SL, your cars have almost certainly had normal trunk space. Fitted luggage sounds tres glam, until you realize it's the only way you'll get your stuff inside a trunk that looks like a miniaturized 3D Tetris nightmare.

Yes, I could fit a grown man in my trunk. (Yikes, did I just write that?) (I actually know someone who was kidnapped and lived in a car trunk for a while, but that's another story...)
