Great recipe Joker...might I add that I put whole cloves in my onion and a halved oranged with micro-slits in the skin for an aromatic effect. The herbage is about the same as yours, as well at the smashed garlic and butter rub....Thanksgiving has got to be one of my favorite holidays, but with my family I start drinking around 10am. I did this last year and was partially blind by the time the salad prep time came and I couldn't differentiate between salt and feta cheese...needless to say the salad was a little oversalted.

But yes, Thanksgiving is about results not convenience. Yummy turkey takes some effort.
