HAHAHAHA! I thought of you fondly, and smirked just a little, as I was setting my clocks ahead last night.
(Seriously, though? WHAT did you do to piss off the universe recently? Kick a puppy? Opt for plastic over paper, or vice-versa? What?)

I hate it, too. And this time, I got screwed out of an hour of a weekend devoted all to myself.

Being a person who isn't fully awake until Cocktail Hour, I LOVE Daylight Savings Time.

I love daylight savings. (Of course, I don't have small kids any more.)
Ours finishes in two weeks, which is a bummer. Back to dark nights...
Maybe yoiu should consider living in Australia for 6 months and the US for the other 6. Avoid it completely! (You don't mind living in perpetual winter, do you?)

aah frogdancer beat me to comment about us finishing in two weeks and that you should live here and there......she said it so much better- bugger! I love daylight saving as you get to play long into the evening. Struggle through the adjustment week and go out and play.

Keeping in mind that I live about 1 deg. of latitude away from the tropics, perpetual winter of this sort is amenable to my state of mind.
The thing is not so much that it gets dark later (although I wish it didn't, since I like having dinnah at nighttime) as it is waking up in the dark.
And, of course, IT KILLS PEOPLE.
P.S. My only regret is that I cannot adequately express my hatred for DST.

I used to love daylight savings, but..an extra hour of daylight in the evening when there's still snow on the ground? That's just wrong.

I hate it too! There aren't words to express it quite firmly. I have sleep issues as it is and it really goofs me up! I really wish the legislators who came up with this had it stuck in their nether regions sideways.

But, on the other hand, it kills people.

Either it's your powers of suggestion - ever powerful even though you haven't been around alt.fashion for awhile - or the fact that I have 2 little ones now. But yeah, I have come to loathe it too, enough to make a comment on your blog. I'd actually vote for a dyed in the wool conservative if they banned it :-). And whose lame ass idea was it to move the clocks ahead so freakin' early???? Argh.
