Bored on the Fourth of July

Is it just me, or is anyone else just dog-ass tired this Independence Day? I must also confess this year it done caught me unaware.

We were big-time underwhelmed at this end.

My kids are jaded. We see fireworks every Saturday night over Navy Pier.

But I enjoyed hearing random people setting off bottle rockets.

We went off and did the picnic thing at The Biltmore (availing ourselves of every little Cellar Club perk). NTS really doesn't care for fireworks, but he liked the 90 minutes of Sousa.
